The shared bathroom facilities with 24-hour hot water were a pleasant surprise. It felt like stepping into a luxurious spa compared to the usual hostel experience.

The common lounge area with board games was a great way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. It felt like being in my own living room, complete with friendly competition and laughter.

Squeaky doors that needed repair.

We stayed a couple of nights here, very nice place in a good area, peaceful just by a lake. Good facilities, good communication with the host and we really enjoyed the company of the young guy on reception; he was very helpful all around the hostel! Overall clean, comfortable beds! Highly recommend!

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The walkway along the lake outside was stunning, the kitchen was well stocked, and the staff was super helpful. The location was peaceful and offered great value for money - amazing view! Though a bit further from the center, it was worth it for the peace and quiet. The loft bed was cozy for a couple. a mind-blowing stay in a peaceful and cozy place with jaw-dropping lake and mountain views. A definite recommendation to experience the special atmosphere of the city!

my girlfriend and i had an incredible 3-night stay in el calafate. aves del lago exceeded our expectations with clean and spacious living areas, friendly staff, and a great location by the natural reserve. we even had a fun barbecue with other guests. it will definitely be our first choice if we visit again!

Wifi was nonexistent.

Despite some disappointments with our stay, there were a few positive aspects to note. the communal area and kitchen were quite lovely, offering a nice space to relax and cook. Additionally, the cleanliness of the communal areas and bathrooms was top-notch, which was definitely appreciated. Lastly, the staff were friendly and helpful, making our interactions with them pleasant.

the location was not as described, it was much further from the bus station than expected, making transportation a bit of a hassle. Secondly, our twin room was in dire need of repairs and updates, with visible plaster showing on the walls and dated bed linens that were in need of replacement.
